Today we are getting ready to attend our dear friend’s fathers funeral. Mr. Kastner was a very generous man and an amazing father and husband. It is an honor to have known him and his family.
Later, we will be going camping at Presque Isle, so there won’t be any posts until Monday. Hope everyone has [...]

1st Day of Kindergarten 08-09
Riley was VERY excited to go to school today. We laid her clothes out last night and she decided to add leggings under her skirt because of the weather. Smart Girl! It was kind of a dreary day, but who cares when your 5!
Brad took her to school today because he hasn’t seen [...]

First Day of School 2008
The morning was pretty uneventful compared to last year. There is no busing so we didn’t have any friends to wait around with and get pictures. This year, Casey’s day begins 1 hour ahead of the rest of the kids so we have to be up and moving pretty early. I’m hoping [...]

Meet the Teacher
I forgot how busy it gets when it’s time to go back to school. We spent the day at a pool with friends yesterday, which made for a really busy day today. Riley and Ally both met their teachers today…
Here are the girls in the dress-up center at Ally’s preschool:
Ally was pretty apprehensive [...]

Happy Birthday to Me!
Nothin’ like a birthday bagel first thing in the morning! Yum! My favorite, cinnamon crunch with a candle in the middle! And morning breath flowing through the air as the kids sang “Happy Birthday” to me in bed.
We went downstairs where the kids proceeded to give me their homemade b-day [...]

Chop, Chop!
I took all 4 kiddos to Headliners this morning for back to schools cuts. I love this place because the kids cuts are $1 per age [$5 minimum] . So for $20 plus tip, I got all three girls a nice cut at a nice place. Gina, the stylist was so great! [...]

Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen
I just found a remnant of Chef Jimmy’s cooking incident last night…
While he was trying to cook a special healthy pizza for Casey, the flatbread turned completely over flipping the cheese into the stove [and filling the drawer under the stove]. Yum! Wish he was still here to clean it up

“Life is full of disappointments”
Well at least that’s what Casey said when we had to drop off Jimmy and Susan at the airport this morning. I agree! We had a great time with them over the past few days and we were sad to see them go.
Later, we spent the afternoon at the mission. It was [...]
