Chop, Chop!

I took all 4 kiddos to Headliners this morning for back to schools cuts. I love this place because the kids cuts are $1 per age [$5 minimum] . So for $20 plus tip, I got all three girls a nice cut at a nice place. Gina, the stylist was so great! Ally was amazing, and Gina kept calling her an angel because she sat so long and did whatever Gina asked.

Here are the before and after shots:

Casey gets BANGS:

Riley:

Ally:

After they were beautified, we came home for lunch and then headed off to the library.

We got a few things…

I’m really excited about Deceptively Delicious and You, the Owner’s Manual . I know these have been around for awhile, but I haven’t really had the chance to dig into them yet. So with school starting around the corner, I figured this would be a good time.

Last But Not Least

Check this out for a real Pick-Me-Up if you live in the Canton area 😦 If not, say a prayer for us! Here is what my friend had to say about it…

“Where there is dying and destruction, there is opportunity… Opportunity for the passionate and compassionate love of Christ. There are powers and principalities stacking the deck against the reviving power of faith, hope and love. Perhaps an economic downturn of such great scale will encourage us to use the imagination which God has blessed us with… to imagine a new way of living in which we don’t rely on the stock market, housing prices, healthcare or the cost of oil? Perhaps we can imagine a new way in which we rely on each other – not only for survival, but to thrive together in community? Perhaps the Lord of all creation will resurrect us from the ashes of individualism and consumer spending to a Kingdom economy where no demand is too great and no supply is too little?

The Lord spoke to Jeremiah: 2 “This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: 3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:2-3)

When all the world is looking to Wall Street, the Fed or McCain/Obama for an answer, are we looking toward the One who made the earth and everything in it? The battle is happening in our backyard folks. Will we sit on the sidelines as mere believers in a better way, or will we take to the streets as radical disciples to continue the revolution Jesus started over two thousand years ago?”

Now that’s exciting! Thanks Dustin!
